On Tuesday,
June 20, 2006, the Town held a ribbon-cutting
to officially open Chestnut Hill Farm to the public.
On hand were Mr. and Mrs. Philip Beals, the Board
of Selectmen, members of the Beals family, representatives
from Sudbury Valley Trustees, representatives from
the Southborough Open Land Foundation, representatives
from the Southborough Open Space Preservation Commission,
representatives from the Southborough Conservation
Commission, representatives from the Southborough
Community Preservation Committee, a representative
from the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs,
and many other interested residents of Southborough.
Mr. Philip Beals realized his family's vision and
did the honors of cutting the green ribbon, opening
the 108-acre property to all residents of Southborough!
All are invited to enjoy the trails and the scenic
beauty of this open space treasure in Southborough.
