On Tuesday,
June 20, 2006, the Town held a ribbon-cutting to
officially open Chestnut Hill Farm to the public. On hand
were Mr. and Mrs. Philip Beals, the Board of Selectmen,
members of the Beals family, representatives from Sudbury
Valley Trustees, representatives from the Southborough Open
Land Foundation, representatives from the Southborough Open
Space Preservation Commission, representatives from the
Southborough Conservation Commission, representatives from
the Southborough Community Preservation Committee, a representative
from the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, and
many other interested residents of Southborough.
Mr. Philip Beals realized his family's vision and did the
honors of cutting the green ribbon, opening the 108-acre
property to all residents of Southborough! All are invited
to enjoy the trails and the scenic beauty of this open space
treasure in Southborough.
