If Southborough Public Schools have a 2-hour delay, the SYFS/Recreation building (21 Highland Street) opens at 10 am and all in-person appointments, meetings, events, and programs prior to 10 am will need to be rescheduled.

If Southborough Public Schools have an early release due to inclement weather, the SYFS/Recreation building (21 Highland Street) closes at 2 pm. All in-person appointments, meetings, events, and programs after 2 pm will need to be rescheduled.

If Southborough Public Schools are in session but inclement weather is occurring 2 pm or later, please see the SYFS and/or Recreation social media pages and the email address associated with account for information on cancelations.

Sick Policy

Southborough Youth and Family Services follows a sick policy for our staff, program participants, and clients. If you are sick with a virus, cold, stomach bug, flu, or any other illness, please reschedule your appointments and/or not attend programs you are registered for. We ask that you be symptom-free for a minimum of 24 hours before rescheduling an appointment or returning for an ongoing program. Residents who come to appointments or programs exhibiting cold, stomach bug, or flu-like symptoms will be asked to leave and our staff will follow up to reschedule any appointments. Because of the Coronavirus we are currently waiving our 24-hour cancellation policy and ask for your flexibility and understanding if we need to cancel a service or program on short notice in order to keep everyone healthy and safe.
