The Personnel Board is a 5 member Committee appointed by the Town Moderator for three year staggered terms. The Salary Administration Plan is the Town bylaw that the Personnel Board administers. This by law establishes position classifications in Town services, salary schedules and employee benefits, and authorizes the Personnel Board to administer the bylaw and to represent the interest of both the taxpayers and the Town employees.
This Salary Administration Plan applies to the positions of all officers and employees in the service of the Town, whether full time, part time, temporary, seasonal, special or any other employment circumstance, except those positions filled by popular election, under the direction and control of the School Committee, or encompassed in any officially recognized labor union and/or association. The positions covered by this salary administration plan are hereby classified by titles in the groups listed in schedule a through h (“classification schedule”) as set forth in section 20 of this bylaw.
