Would you like to give back to your community?
We offer several volunteer opportunities for those looking to give back. Project Friend brings community members of all ages together in an environment designed to build one-on-one relationships. We welcome any extra help during our community events and throughout the holiday season.
For more information on how to get involved, please contact our office.
Southborough Youth and Family Services accepts graduate and undergraduate interns based on the needs of the department each year.

Community Partnerships and Collaborations
Grants and Donations
The Southborough Community Fund has awarded us a grant for our campership program and another grant that we share with the Southborough Senior Center and the Southborough Food Pantry.
Southborough Community Fund
Our Summer Concert Series is supported in part by a grant from the Southborough Cultural Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massacusetts Cultural Arts Council, a state agency.
Supportive Community Groups
Southborough Youth & Family Services is supported by the Town of Southborough along with the expertise of the volunteers who so capably serve on the Southborough Youth Commission Board.
Our department is lucky to have a "friend" in the Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission. We are able to carry out additional good deeds through generous contributions from our Friends group.
Our department hosts events to attend that provide the opportunity to unplug and enjoy quality time with family and friends. Check back often to see what's new!
Summer Concert Series
Come enjoy great music, good food and beautiful summer weather while spending time with family and friends. In partnership with the Southborough Recreation Department, SYFS offers this fun opportunity for a family outing during the summer months.

This spring, The Friends of the Southborough Youth Commission held their second annual art contest for the design on our summer concert t-shirts. Congratulations to this year’s winners—Niamh, Grade 4 and Samantha, Grade 3! Their artwork will be featured on the front and back of our t-shirts.
Friends will have the t-shirts available for purchase at all of our summer concerts. Youth sized t-shirts will be for sale at $12 each, while the adult t-shirts will be selling for $15 each. There will also be a summer concert coloring book that will include all the artwork submitted by students for this year’s contest. The coloring books will also be for sale at the concerts for $5 per book. Don’t miss out on the chance to get some great memorabilia!
We also hold a variety of one-time events, often collaborating with other organizations, schools, and town departments. In the past we have brought in speakers for different initiatives and hosted screenings related to specific topics. This spring we will be hosting a Gallery Finale of the Nothing to Hide Exhibit for Mental Health Awareness Month. Some of our events change from year to year, so be sure to visit our website or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get the latest information about our events.
